I left Taiwan heading to Singapore. I really liked Taiwan, I felt attached to the place after staying almost 3 months. I can summarize it with one word “Taiwanese People” really amazing, everyone I met was very friendly, very helpful and very respectful. As I mentioned in previous posts, I will come back to Taiwan to continue studying Mandarin. I’ve made few friends and now that I am familiar with the country things should be easier. The only negative thing that I can say about Taiwan although the country is very advanced in terms of high tech, but you don’t see that when you walk in the streets in terms of cleanliness, not to say that it’s not clean, it’s more to say that the building are olds and many things like sidewalks not well maintained.

Going to Singapore, I decided to take very few things with me on this trip. I took a small backpack weigh around 9kg (around 20lbs), only few clothes and the laptop. When I left Canada I got rid of almost every thing I had except my cloths and my laptop. It’s amazing when you think about it. We buy so many things and we get to a point thinking that we cannot live without them, but I realized I don’t miss any of it.

I arrived in Singapore very early in the morning and had to wait a couple of hours at the airport till the train service started. The trip from the airport to the city is around 40 mins. The MRT is very clean just like in Taiwan and the airport is very nice.

It is so true that we buy too many things. It’s amazing that you were able to get rid of almost all your stuff. Thanks again for the tent, my kid loves it. 🙂
