#25 Danshui – after class
My mandarin class hasn’t been easy and most of the time I have no idea what the teacher is talking about. It will be my last week before heading to Singapore. I am planning to come back here to enroll in this class and continue learning Mandarin till I feel I can carry short conversation. I found the prospect of finding a temporary job is pretty good. This way I can cover some of the expenses while studying Mandarin at the same time in Taiwan. But as I said before I am not planning to stick to plans so if change my mind and find other things while traveling I will just do it, I just want to enjoy the moment.
Today after the Chinese/mandarin class I went to Danshui with my friends from the Chinese school. There are many students in the Chinese school from different backgrounds, so I got to meet people from Japan, France, Indonesia, Korea, the US and of course my other fellow Canadians. It’s really nice to meet others who are learning the same language it encouraged me when I saw others who are able to understand and make some basic conversation after studying for a couple of years. At least I can now say it’s not totally impossible.
P.S. if you’re wondering about the hair, yes I decided to perm my hair with some highlight, looks nice, right?

Tarek,
Thank you for the laughs you gave to the class and we will miss you. Have fun in Singapore and keep in touch. Even though we never got to meet up outside of class, I am glad to have gotten to know you. I have considered making a blog of my own and yours is inspiring me more to do so. Keep in touch and safe travels my friend.
Rich

Why did you change your hair? You always had the perfect hair. A little bit of sanitizer and you were clean, glowing, and ready to go…. lol
