Belize airport

It’s been a while since I updated this blog. Not for the lack of experiences but I had few thoughts and decided to make the blog only about my experiences while traveling. Although I traveled to few places but they were not the type of backpacking that I like to do. It was more for work or short vacations. And for me I like when traveling to immerse myself in the culture and I don’t feel I get that experience for a week or two or while traveling for work. Definitely traveling is an amazing experience that I really enjoy and plan to make it a life long experience.

It’s been a while that I wanted to visit Brazil, since I know I will start a new job soon, I thought it might be a good idea to travel a little before starting working. So I bought a ticket to Rio de Janeiro, and the night before my scheduled flight, I went on the Internet to know a little about Brazil and I learned that I needed a visa to visit and it will take at least one week. I called the company where I made the reservation and the lady on the phone told I might loose the ticket or I might have to pay $300 fee for the cancellation and she said sometimes there’s no charges, it all depends on the airline companies where my flight is reserved with. She put me on hold and she came back saying the flight is canceled and there will be no charges. It was a relief.
Next day, I started looking for other destinations to visit. A place that have affordable flights and doesn’t require visa. I started to look and I noticed some countries in Central America that I haven’t visit have some affordable flights. So I booked a flight to Belize and I thought I can make it as a stepping stone to visit other countries in Central America.
I had a long layover in Newark airport and so I decided to pass few hours in Manhattan. Next day, I took off from Newark to Houston and then to Belize city. It was very humide and hot, and it was raining very heavily
