Renting a scooter was a great idea, there are so many things and places to see and the streets in Indonesia are all one lane so maneuvering traffic on a scooter is a lot easier. I visited many places over the length of several days and because I am few days behind on writing my experience I write few posts with a lot of pictures.
My visit in Bali is different than the rest of Indonesia; I felt in Bali being more of a tourist than a traveler. I am still learning about the people and the culture and enjoying every minute of it. The fact that Bali has many touristic, historical and religious places that are more developed makes the experience different. As a matter of fact, Bali is considered the richest Island because of tourism. Some of the places I visited here in Bali had more foreigners than locals especially in the months of July and August when a lot of Europeans, North Americans and Australians come to spend their vacation in Bali. A lot of tourists skip the other islands and will visit only Bali but Indonesia has so many cultures and not visiting other islands you loose on seeing many other things.
Bali is one of the 17000 islands that make Indonesia. Most of us are more familiar with Bali than the other islands because of movies or TV shows that mentioned it and because most of the tourists head to Bali. The Majority of Balinese people are Hindu; their practice is a little different than the Hindus in India. You see the influence of religion in everything of Balinese’s life. Women and men especially in small towns dress in a beautiful Balinese dresses and daily carry the reliefs (usually food and fruits) to the temples. I uploaded many pictures and these were taken over several days, it shows the beauty of the culture and the amazing nature.
