Another significant thing about Singapore is the population diversity, only half of the populations were born in Singapore. The 4 official languages are; English, Chinese, Malayan, and Tamil. Besides China town, Little India reflects the diversity more than anywhere else I saw in Singapore. Many Indian and Chinese temples and mosques, there were Indian and Chinese restaurants and shops that selling traditional dresses. Although it’s called little India but there’s a significant numbers of Chinese, Bengalis and others. I spent few hours there it was a nice experience. I had some Indian food at a public food court; they place a sheet of paper and serve the food directly on the tray no plates. First time I tried that I asked them to place it on a plate but the second time I decided to try it just like the way they do it. Singapore is expensive; pretty much every thing here is at least at the same price as what you would pay for in the Canada. A bottle of water at 7-eleven is more than $2, a breakfast at McDonald’s is around $5.5, and by south east Asia standards this is way too expensive.
